The estate of Spring Lawn in Lenox, Massachusetts is being restored
to its original beauty for use as a luxury resort

Spring Lawn Mansion was originally built in 1903 for John Alexandre, a shipping magnate, and his family. Built in a unique blend of Beaux-Arts and Classical Revival Styles, Spring Lawn Mansion was designed by Guy Lowell who was also the architect of Boston's Museum of Fine Arts and the New York County Courthouse. Spring Lawn represents the first residence that Guy Lowell built and is a shining example of one of the original Berkshire Cottages from the Gilded Age of the 1880s-1920s. Since its creation, Spring Lawn Mansion has gone from a private residence to the home of the Lenox Boys School, a religious group and most recently as residence and theater for Shakespeare & Company.
