We are excited about our plans for Lenox's beautiful Springlawn estate, and appreciate the opportunity to share them with the town today. With backgrounds in hospitality, finance, and design, we as a family bring experience and passion to the task of restoring this grand building to its original splendor. We plan to completely renovate Springlawn Mansion and the surrounding grounds, creating an exclusive resort that will take the guest to the luxurious era of the Gilded Age. In addition to guests from the Berkshire and Boston area, we plan to draw business from our 2,000+ clientele of professionals, developed from our New York City clothing company. This client base will foster a youthful and artistic environment at the resort, and in Lenox's growing "downtown" area.
With our qualified team, including a professional historical restoration consultant, our architect, and our general contractor, we look forward to renewing the glamour of Springlawn, while remaining true to its history. This aspect is so important to us that we plan to pursue the estate's eligibility for inclusion in the National Register of Historical Places. This will mean that Springlawn Mansion, Clipston Grange, and the Carriage House will then be more than a luxury resort-the entire estate will be an official historical district.

Our plan for the main house is to offer 21 guest rooms and suites, each of which will be uniquely and beautifully appointed. The first floor to will be divided into large reception rooms and an elegant 40-seat restaurant, which will happily be opened to the public. The large seasonal terrace will also seasonally be able to seat 40 people for outdoor dining and special events. We anticipate many a warm, lingering evening spent gazing at the gardens and sunset.
The carriage house will also be restored. This building will be used as our family residence for the first several years of operation, and later will be converted into 5 additional suites for the resort.
Clipston Grange, located further down Kemble Street, will be restored and converted into administrative offices and two staff apartments. In the future, we hope to replace the two cottages, which are no longer salvageable, with new construction. These two cottages will each have five additional suites and guest services. Out of respect for the conservation of the property, we do not intend to develop the resort any further than a total of 36 suites.
We believe that the restoration of the Springlawn estate and the creation of a luxury boutique resort will greatly benefit the town of Lenox and Berkshire County. Likewise, we hope that Lenox is as excited for this transformation as we are, and invite you to follow us in our progress. In the next few pages, you will see a preview of the renovations, the landscaping and the interior design, as well as photos demonstrating the work ahead of us. We look forward to becoming a part of the Berkshire community, especially in working with our neighbors, Shakespeare & Co., and other organizations.
All the best,
The Jurney Family
